2/26/26 - My birthday has been fun so far! Izzy took me out for donuts and coffee this morning, I hung out with Zizou in the afternoon and then Izzy showed up again to give me my gifts (which are AWESOME) and take me out to dinner at my childhood favorite Mexican restaurant! I've felt really full all day though, so I have my leftovers from both meals to enjoy tomorrow. Oh, and I can't forget to mention the birthday cake my grandmother made me. I asked her to make me the rum cake she likes to make around the holidays, but holy moly. it tastes like nothing BUT rum. PHEW! Now Izzy and I are gonna fopefuly finish our watchthrough of Dragon Ball to cap the day off, because as it turns out, today is also the 40th anniversary of the original Dragon Ball anime! That's not all, though! The celebrations will carry on through the weekend with several different friends in several different places with a lot more food and, of course, tons of games!
2/17/26 - Back home at last, and with internet, too! Absence has made my heart grow fonder, and I really want to update this site more. I have a few in-progress reviews languishing in limbo, and all those unfinished pages, like the Mega Man 7 guide and the Transformers collection page. I'm way behind on that! I could finally start on the next chapter of The Adventures of Kirby and Waddle Dee, now that I have a slightly better idea for how to go about doing it. Only slightly, though! Hopefully I'll think of something cool to do here soon. Stay tuned!
2/14/26 - Happy Valentine's Day! We have not had internet at my house since the night of the last blog post, meaning it's been exactly three weeks. It's been rough. Currently, I'm house-and-petsitting for some friends for the next few days, so I brought the PC over so I could finally get some work done. Plus, I had to make the site pink for today! Yay!
1/24/26 - The ice storm started this morning, but it doesn't look all that bad today. The ground isn't fully covered and it's already dripping down from the trees and rooftops, but people are saying it's gonna be a lot worse in my area tomorrow. Looking at the forecast, it really doesn't look all that bad, as long as the wind stays mild. If we don't lose power or water tomorrow, it should be pretty smooth sailing until everything melts away. Here's hoping, at least.
1/21/26 - This past weekend was RizzyDizz's birthday party, and I took on her request to bake her birthday cake. I made it from scratch, and everyone seemed to like it! I can't vouch for it myself, though, since it was a strawberry cake made with fresh strawberries, which I can't stand. I just hate those hard little seeds! They bother me way more than they have any right to. I did taste some of the frosting, which was delicious, but I was spitting those little seeds out the whole time. In other news, there's apparently a winter storm blowing through my area in the next few days, so we need to prep for that. We may lose power and water again... how fun. On the other hand, yay! Snow! How fun!
1/2/26 - Happy New Year! Updating a little late here, so I'll leave the New Year's deco up for a few days. I spent New Years Day playing a lot of NES, both alone and with TruKuu. Pinball, you'll always be one of my favorites! We also broke out the Famicom to play a bit of Devil World. Man, that is a fantastic game! I had no idea the 2 player mode was simultaneous! It's a real shame the game never made it stateside. It's one of the most creative and fun takes on the Pac-Man genre(?) I've played. Give it a try if you get the chance!
